Everyone should hop on the game and get this achievement for as long as this method remains viable. Now it just turned into a measly "Press Start to begin" kind of achievement. This achievement once was either one of the most grueling and painful grinds in a Windows 8 game or an unreasonably high paywall. You will not see this achievement unlocked in that menu, but it will unlock on Xbox Live, which is what really matters. Take note that Xbox achievements do not appear in-game! This game has its own set of "achievements" displayed in Profile -> Collection. However after checking my achievements in this game, I simply had unlocked this one. Personally, I didn't actually see this achievement pop anywhere on the screen except for hearing the achievement pop sound. Simply choose the Remote Save and shortly after you will hear the achievement pop sound. I had some trouble logging in after hitting those buttons and waiting a while, but after simply restarting the game, it told me that I have a Remote Save (my Xbox account) and a Local Save (with no progress).
When you start the game on a new device (I used a Windows 10 laptop), you can connect your Xbox account by using the Xbox icon in the top right of the main menu or by going to Settings -> Profile -> Social -> Log in (Xbox). I can confirm myself that holds up perfectly. MASSIVE BREAKTHROUGH!!! Thank you for everyone in the comments who recently posted about unlocking this achievement by simply syncing their save data from another device.
