Note: There is no reason to purchase more than 6 total herbs or more than 1 coin from the provisioner, there are only 6 Alchemy Tables and 1 accounting area available and each may only be used once. Heroes can receive/replace diseases and positive/negative quirks just like completing any other mission but do not receive gold or resolve XP for mission completion.Heirloom crest can be exchanged for coins purchased from the provisioner at the Financial Accounting Books curio in the last room.Potions can be crafted with Herbs of the Wild purchased from the provisioner by using the Alchemy Table curios found in the hallway after the Lectern of Time.The Lectern of Time does not reward resolve XP for completing the mission but has several other benefits available. This is useful when the hero you want/need for a boss or other quest is is unavailable for the week and/or refuses to end their treatment from the Abbey, Sanitarium or Tavern, allowing a week to pass for their return. Each visit to the Lectern of Time will progress a week as normal, with a version for Apprentice, Veteran and Champion+ heroes.
The Lectern of Time is a unique and valuable resource for any Darkest Dungeon run, providing an area for heroes to venture and craft potioins and purchase crest heirlooms while the rest of your roster is receiving treatment for what ails them in Abbey, Sanitarium or Tavern.
